Whatever it means to be a humanist in the positive sense — theologically, existentially, ontologically — I think that Yuval Noah Harari and his ilk are ANTI-humanist instead of being transhumanist.
Yes Gary, you are right: calling them ANTI-humanists is a much better word. I am using “transhumanist” because that‘s the word they are propagandizing (uhm, is this a word here? :) )
