This post is long due; I have been meaning to write down what I have been doing to stay cancer-free for the past more than 18 years already, successfully. Here you go, maybe it will be helpful for you or someone you know.
My personal experience with the Big C:
Cervical cancer was detected in the autumn of 2007 and I had a surgery in January 2008. Half a year later I went to a dancing training camp preparing for a big show in December, and I also travelled abroad to perform at a festival. More about how eventful my life was after cancer here and here, it might be inspirational for someone who needs that.
Unfortunately, I only started to learn about this dreaded disease AFTER I had been through it. Today I am absolutely convinced that with my current knowledge, I could have prevented it.
And I even dare saying that the standard treatment I received:
1. wasn’t even necessary in the first place, because of the condition was still in such an early phase
2. caused more harm than the good it did: by removing important, HEALTHY lymph nodes (”just to be sure”), my lymphatic system is broken ever since. I am left with a debilitating chronic disease which, according to modern Medicine, is incurable and progressive, and which can lead to immobility and might even develop potentially deadly complications. It is called lymphedema (US) or lymphoedema (UK), and it is a permanent swelling of the affected limb and often the connecting body parts.
For cervical cancer as the one I had, lymph nodes of the pelvic area removed during surgery, creating a serious blockage in the body’s “sewer system” and first one leg and later probably the other will be also deformed. You can guess which side it is for me:
Lymphedema is a very common side effect of such surgeries and doctors won’t tell you about it in advance! I also had no any clue of whatsoever that this disease existed at all. My doctor, a renowned oncologist surgeon in Hungary, only told me months later at a checkup when I showed him my swollen foot: “Watch out so that it won’t swell very much.” Thanks.
As they say for cancer: there is no cure for lymphedema either, there are only treatments that can bring some relief.
One could do further surgeries for this, but those also don’t give a permanent solution. And I am hesitant to go under the knife ever again, not to mention the fortune it would cost.
The only option I see for myself is to fully take the matter in my own hands, and to experiment with solutions of alternative, holistic methods, therapies, to see what works.
I think I am doing much better than many people with this “blessing”, but still there’s a lot I can improve on. I should do even more of everything on this YES! list below.
💡My top tips so far, to stay in as good a shape as possible
(in no particular order, and beside that I wear compression stockings on my swollen legs and sometimes I bandage and massage them):
🚫 pharmacy drugs
🚫 sunscreen
🚫 certain food stuffs: E621 (monosodium glutamate), margarine and oils that don’t tolerate heat, artificial sweeteners. And I avoid sugar and carbs as much as possible, but I am now not too strict about that. Generally, no tough diet for me, but I do look at the labels and try to eat as simple and unprocessed foods as I can.
🚫 never smoked in my life
🚫 hardly ever drink alcohol
🚫 I had 3 major toxic connections that time: a spouse, a group and a place where I hated to live - so I had to leave them
✔️ identifying other stress factors in my life and handle them (great tools for relief: a basic TFT, Thought Field Therapy tapping sequence and EFT, Emotional Field Therapy tapping - let me know in comments, if you want to know more about that in a separate post)
✔️ in the first few months, I was on a very rigorous alkalizing diet which was incredibly effective and jaw-dropping, with special drops and a mixture of greens from a compay that doesn’t exist anymore, unfortunately. Here is a similar supergreens nutritional supplement » that you can also have as part of your basics.
✔️ sun and fresh air (this is free!!!)
✔️ dry brushing the entire body (no need to go fancy, a simple, super cheap nail brush will do)
✔️ physical activity (since mainly my legs are affected, bicycling is a favorite 🚴♀️, and light hiking, swimming, water gymnastics, and I still love dancing💃 - funny enough, I can do any of these better than standing or just walking in town on the asphalt. There are also very simple exercizes that you can do at home, no need to pay a physical therapist or buy a gym pass.)
✔️ people and environments that are a better match for me. Vibes, energies matter A LOT.
✔️ nutritional supplements, herbs I found beneficial: Ganoderma, green tea and matcha, and the cell repair drink by ASEA is unbeatable (NOT A TREATMENT for any disease or condition, it highly improves general well-being, by restoring communication in the body).
✔️ potions & lotions: two topical gels by that same company - I can’t praise them enough❣️Redox Gold and Renu 28. I have applied them to so many different symptoms of joint, muscle or skin issues, with so many amazing results that I could write another page or two more about them.
*Disclaimer: these above are affiliate links, because I am so much blown away by these products and by this company that I have became a brand partner. Of course I might get a commission, if you buy anything via my links, but two very important things: 1. I only recommend them because I absolutely love them and I know how much good they do to many others as well. I would never advertise anything in the subject of health, if I wasn’t convinced that they would most probably help. 2. You can try anything with a 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee!
Yes, I am “selling stuff” here - but you may also go with any of the free information and tips I have given in this post which you can benefit from.
