Writing is an excellent way to confront ourselves, others, our lives, our environment, events, take stock, and learn from them. Most people know me as a singer, but I get a lot of feedback on my writing, which encourages me to not only write down my thoughts for myself, but also to share them with others.
For several of my poems, people has been thanked me with tearful hugs. This has even happened during Covid: strangers(!) who read my poems that I had handed out on the street or in the subway, came back to me, and they didn't care about the mandatory social distancing.
I wrote my very first poem twenty-seven years ago: also on a March morning, I woke up to the notion that rhyming, rhythmic, melodic lines were seeking their way.
Yesterday morning when I woke up by writing a poem, I not only received inspiration and motivation to finally dig up my poems, short stories, and essays that had been mostly languishing in the depths of a drawer, but I also took action: I continued the process of organizing and editing them that I have started a long time ago.
The truth is that I can't write songs: I only have one draft, the lyrics and melody of which I wrote myself - 13 years ago, and no one has heard it yet... Singer Andrea Gerák always sings other people's songs. Sometimes I change this or that in a tune, but I still can't say that it's my own.
My poems and other writings, however, are completely and only mine. Perhaps in them, I can experience the joy of creation most fully.

The title poem:
I was looking for the right term for this, when the author packs poetry, photos and music into a book: I think we can call it a multimedia book.
As a first step, before the printed, real, paper-smelling book you will hold in your hand, you can obtain it in digital form. In addition to the roughly seventy written pieces, I also present another side of me, using my own artistic photos as illustrations.
